Sur electricliterature.com, l'auteure de Immortel, parle de son nouveau roman Radiance paru en 2101 cher Tor books, un récite qui mélange cinéma, uchonie et space opera :
 
TC: Did you come up with the broad strokes of the alternate timeline first, or did you have more of a specific sense of what was and what was not different on Earth?

CMV: I started out with the core of the idea, that I wanted to have space travel in the 20s and 30s and 40s. One of the most enjoyable afternoons that I have ever spent–a couple of my friends who are obsessed with late 19th century and early 20th century history came to my house, and we formed a circle, and for about six hours discussed how history would fork if space travel began around 1870.
