Cette année, le prix Robert A. Heinlein a été attribué à Stanley Schmidt, éditeur de la revue Analog Science Fiction and Fact Magazine. Il récompense son travail éditorial, d’anthologiste et son essai The Coming Convergence: Surprising Ways Diverse Technologies Interact to Shape Our World and Change the Future.
