Dave Duncan vient de finir un dyptique avec son roman : Mother of Lies/ Voici ce qu'en dit l'auteur des Lames du Roi;

"At the end of part one, the four hostages, now grown up, were reunited, Duncan said. "They still have to learn sibling cooperation to have any hope of escaping their foes, the various children of Hrag," he said. "They have conflicting interests, too, because even if they can survive the ordeal of crossing the fearsome Edge to get home again, it is clear that only one of them can succeed their dying father as ruler of Celebre. Which one will succeed cannot be revealed until the end, naturally."

Each of the four has adopted a different patron god, Duncan said. "The divinities of Dodec grant their devotees miraculous abilities, and each of the four has personal problems to resolve," he said. "Fabia, for example, the sole woman in the group, has chosen to worship Xaran, the goddess of death. She is still coming to terms with her choice of patron, anxious to exercise her powers for good and not become an engine of evil like Saltaja, the daughter of Hrag and principal villain." "
