Les animaux et les séismes
A plusieurs reprises, lors de tremblements de terre, on a des témoignages qui évoquent des comportements aberrants d'animaux plusieurs heures avant l'événement parfois jusqu'aux vingt quatre heures qui précédent. Notamment on parle d'oiseaux qui qui se rassemblent comme avant une migration. De déplacements massifs de poissons ou de petits animaux.
Est ce que ces phénomènes ont été étudié ? En connait -on la cause ? Si oui y - a - t - il un champ de recherche visant à identifier la variable détectée par les animaux et a en mesurer les variations dans le but de prévenir les séismes suffisamment à l'avance ?

Abstract
It has been suggested that some animals are much more capable of perceiving certain kinds of geophysical stimuli which may precede earthquakes than humans, but the anecdotal phenomena or stories about unusual animal behaviors prior to an earthquake should be interpreted with objective data. During the Wenchuan magnitude 8.0 earthquake that happened in Wenchuan county (31.0 degrees north latitude, 103.4 degrees east longitude) of Sichuan province, China, on May 12, 2008, eight mice were monitored for locomotor activity and circadian rhythm in constant darkness with temperature 22-24 degrees C and humidity 55-65% for 38 days. The ongoing monitoring of locomotor activity of mice in our laboratory made it possible to design a posteriori study investigating whether the earthquake was associated with any change in animal behavior. Based on analyzing the recorded data with single cosinor, we found that the locomotor activity dramatically decreased in six of these eight mice on day 3 before the earthquake, and the circadian rhythm of their locomotor activity was no longer detected. The behavioral change lasted for 6 days before the locomotor activity returned to its original state. Analyses of concurrent geomagnetic data showed a higher total intensity during the span when the circadian rhythm in locomotor activity weakened. These results indicated that the behaviors, including circadian rhythm and activity, in these mice indeed changed prior to the earthquake, and the behavioral change might be associated with a change of geomagnetic intensity.

Abstract
Mouse circadian diagrams recorded at Osaka University showed unusual mouse behavior before the Kobe earthquake on January 17th, 1995. The locomotive activities on January 16th showed drastic increases, several times above the standard deviation, during both sleep and active periods, indicating that mice perceived of some preseismic signals.

Abstract
The study of pre-earthquake (PE) behavior in animals has always been shrouded by controversy. There is very little scientific evidence showing that animals can sense the coming of an earthquake and that their organisms undergo physiological changes during the PE period. On the day of the Wenchuan earthquake, prior to the time of its actual occurrence, we were coincidentally able to measure the insulin sensitivity and stress level in rats that were originally part of another study. We detected defects in insulin signaling and a decrease in glucose uptake in skeletal muscle (SkM) and adipose tissue (AT), indicating impaired insulin sensitivity. These changes were associated with significantly increased plasma corticosterone concentration and elevated HSD11B1 mRNA expression in SkM and AT. The increase in insulin resistance (IR) could be attributed to elevated local (SkM and AT) and systemic stress. Interestingly, we also noticed that the food intake in rats showed a sudden increase two days before the earthquake and reached a peak on the day of the earthquake itself. Our observations suggest the possibility that the rats underwent PE physiological changes consisting of an increase in the stress level and consequently leading to an increase in food intake and IR.
je ne comprend pas l'anglais mais rien d'extraordinaire sans doute , les differentes cellules receptives animales etant souvent beaucoup plus developpées que chez l'homme , les faibles perturbations pré-seismiques sont donc détectées par eux : émissions de gaz rare , perturbations electromagnetiques ( presences de micro cristaux de fer chez les oiseaux par exemple , dont ils se servent en temps normal pour se diriger ) etc etc
cela me rappelle ces chiens , rats et autres dont on se sert de plus en plus pour détecter les cancers chez l'homme ( émissions de substances olofactives dégager par la dégradations des cellules entre autres , de mémoire )
