Des nouvelles de Patricia A. McKillip, l'auteur des Fantômes d’Ombria et plus loin de nous La Magicienne de la forêt d’Eld et Le Livre d’Atrix Wolfe (entre autres).

Son nouveau roman Solstice Wood est sortit en anglais il y a quelques mois (un roman tiré de sa nouvelle Winter Rose). Elle en a parlé à un site américain :

"At the beginning of the novel, Sylvia Lynn, who is the heir to the Lynn estate, lives as far away from her family as she can get without crossing an ocean," McKillip said in an interview. "The story concerns the reasons for her reluctance to accept her heritage, as well as the determination of her grandmother, after Sylvia returns to Lynn Hall to attend her grandfather's funeral, to persuade her to stay in the mountain village where she belongs instead of returning to the city to which she has effectively, and from her point of view quite happily, exiled herself."
