William Gibson et la suite de Zero History

Encore une interview de William Gibson sur Zero History. Il parle de la suite de son nouveau roman.

We’ve seen two previous trilogies, and now a third book in this series -- do you have a sense of an ending here? Or will Milgrim be muscling his way into book four?
William Gibson : I have some sort of organic and functional need to believe that I don’t know until I actually commence whatever the next book will be. My sense of it, that said, is that it seems to have on its own nicely attained closure, and that’s a good thing. But on the other hand I’ve never had before what I think of as the Conan Doyle problem, and readers begging me in private for a fourth volume, “We don’t want to say goodbye to these characters.” That’s really odd.

I’ve always had some people say, “I want to see the characters from Neuromancer again, but at the end of my first set of three books, there weren’t people saying, “I want some more Sprawl trilogy.” But in order to get into the place where I can even get started on a book I have to sort of con myself that I haven’t got a clue and then I have to sit and wait for inspiration…
