L’écrivain américain Cormac McCarthy est mort

L’écrivain américain Cormac McCarthy mondialement connu pour La Route (L’Olivier, 2008), un roman postapocalyptique, inspiré de ses conversations avec son jeune fils John, et récompensé par le prix Pulitzer en 2007.

Également auteur d'une dizaine de romans et de films/séries, il est décédé mardi 13 juin à l’âge de 89 ans dans sa propriété de Santa Fe.

Cormac McCarthy, maybe the greatest American novelist of my time, has passed away at 89. He was full of years and created a fine body of work, but I still mourn his passing.
