L'année dernière, Lucasfilm et Del Rey annonçait la publication d'un roman écrit par Adam Christopher, The Mandalorian: An Original Novel ainsi que celle d'un dictionnaire sur la série. Le premier ouvrage devait sortir fin 2020 avant d'être repoussé.
Finalement, les projets ont été annulés. Les raisons données mettent en avant l'expansion de la série qui viendrait alors empiéter sur le roman.
Quant à Adam Christopher, celui-ci travaillerait sur un autre roman, dans l'univers de Star Wars.
